Rules of Participation

  • Minimum age is 18 unless approved by race director and signed by parent/guardian
  • 50K runners must finish in 10 hours (by 6:00 pm) to medal
  • 50K early start runners must finish in 11 hours (by 6:00 pm) to medal
  • Early start participant are not eligible for division awards
  • The early start race is designed for runners that anticipate an 8 hour or slower race. Please don’t start early because you want to get home early. If you are too fast Hidden Creek Aid Station may not have aid available for you when you arrive
  • Hidden Creek Aid Station has a strict cutoff time: 12:30 am for all runners
  • Runners must show or report their race number to the aid station personnel at the Hidden Creek Aid Station
  • Pacers are not allowed
  • Runners must follow customary Trail Etiquette: Run on the right side of the trail and always pass on the left. Slower runners please allow faster runners to pass. Faster runners announce when you’re passing, “On your left”
  • No littering; Our trails need to be kept clean and free of all trash. LEAVE NO TRACE!
  • Dogs and any other animals are not allowed on the course except for service dogs (e.g., seeing eye dogs) who have prior permission from the race director
  • This is a Forest Service permitted event. Entrants must follow all Forest Service rules when on the trail: no smoking, no damage to the trail including all flora and fauna, and nothing can be taken from the area
  • Crew is only allowed to meet their runners at Hidden Creek Aid Station and the finish
  • Headphones: If you choose to use headphones please turn them down low enough to hear other runners approaching you from the rear. NO portable speakers allowed! Keep your music private others are trying to enjoy the trail.
  •  You are required to have fun!
